Feeling Yes, Feeling No

Photo from the production Feeling Yes, Feeling No of a teacher in a classroom.

This is the only pure piece of educational theatre I’ve ever been involved in. I directed this programme and co-wrote it with Wendy Van Reisen, Fran Gebhard, and two of the most amazing people I’ve ever known, Judith Mastai and Brian Torpe, who have since passed on, and I miss them deeply. FYFN was the second program of its kind in the world; its creation and implementation was a transformative experience for me. It was eventually adapted into a series of films by the National Film Board of Canada (directed by Mo Simpson) and is used extensively throughout North America and Europe.
